FAQs
Does it hurt?
Because of childhood experiences of big needles, people often have a misplaced fear about acupuncture being very painful. The needles used in acupuncture are microscopically thin and are rarely even felt as they enter the body. When the needle meets the energy of the body, people often describe a sensation of tingling, pulling, pressure, throbbing or a mild ache in the area. These experiences are normal and usually pass quickly as the energy frees up.
All needles are single use, pre-sterilized and disposable. They are never used more than one time.
